Week of National Apprenticeship
Teenage Turbo Queen Casey Allen is looking at a bright future as a mechanical engineer.
Casey, 17, is presently finishing her Level 2 Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering at Foxwood Diesel, a Chesterfield, Old Whittington-based company that specializes in engine repair and reconditioning for the bus and coach industries.
Casey, a former student of Brookfield School, started working at Foxwood Diesel at the age of 15 as a part of a program her school set up for work experience.
“Originally I wanted to be a teacher but I also wanted to do something different,”
“Being a massive fan of cars my dream job was to fix F1 cars in the pits, so I was really intrigued by engineering.”
